This is an illustration piece created and submitted for Udon's Mega Man Tribute book. This version of Zero is re-imagined in the style of the live-action sci-fi movie "Casshern", based on the 1970's anime of the same name.

Zero is a popular character in the Mega Man X video game series. I wanted to attempt a unique approach to rendering this character for this entry, as I'm sure many talented artist will provide us with great illustrations of Zero. The slender, realistic proportions of the body are influenced by the film's titular character design. The armor more resembles a bodysuit, again from the film, while retaining the color and some design elements from the original video game design.
